So...I found out that this beautiful thing is a Apoballis acuminatissima also known as a "red sword/ purple sword". She is gorgeous but unfortunately mine is sick, does anyone have experience with these babies...if so I need some help.

1 gillaHer leafs are beginning to look as though they are sunburned but falling apart like she is over watered
0 gillningarWhat's the lighting like? Do you have a picture?
0 gillningarThis is a new plant for me and I fear it may be a bit too finicky, because it started doing this as soon as it was repotted
0 gillningarIt's in a west facing window, unfortunately I do not have a picture and I am not home to take one. Are you able to trim Sword plants down for new growth like fishbone prayer plants?
0 gillningarSounds like it went into transplant shock if it happened right after you repotted. That's extremely common and you generally just gotta wait it out. You can trim off the yellowing leaves.
0 gillningarOh thank you! So just continue to water it like usual
0 gillningarChecking the soil, though i don't belive these like 100% dry
1 gillaNo they don't but I did read that they are subject to root rot so they have to dry out completely before watering again
