Hello! I’ve been gone a while from this app but I’m trying to get back into it! My aunt gifted me this plant. Ain’t she pretty? The only thing is she doesn’t know what type of plant it is. My guess is a jade plant, but idk. I’m slightly nervous becuase I had a jade plant a few years ago and she didn’t do very well. Despite my best efforts in trying to revive her we lost her. So I’m determined to take care of her! If you could tell me what type that would be great, and if anyone has any care tips I am all ears!

    Yes you're right, it's a Jade plant. My only advice really is they like the soil to fully dry out between watering. The app is pretty accurate with mine. An airy well draining soil mix and a pot with great drainage, preferably terracotta. When you do water, water well. They like full sun too. She's a beauty 😍

      Thank you! In the picture it has pretty much the most sunlight my room gets during the day. Is that enough? Or is she in trouble?

    Is she close to the window? Mine is right by the window and gets a good 6 hrs of full sun.

    She’s relatively close! Maybe three or four feet? But my whole room gets a pretty even amount of sunlight

    She’s only where she is because she’s sort of a big plant and I don’t have a spot right next to my window for her

    Maybe just see how she goes where she is. She might be fine there. If she starts getting leggy growth, pale or thin leaves, and leaning stems then that's a sign of insufficient light. Then it might be worth getting a grow light for her.

      Apologies for jumping in here and I love Jade plants. Any suggestions on a good grow light is and one that doesn’t cost a fortune to leave on?

    Tandra has it. Great advice. The only thing I will add, is get the grow light now because I think your plant will need it.
