Hi! This grew from a single petal that I found at a garden nursery. It’s just kept going, but the petals near the dirt are turning yellow and coming off. Anyone know what this plant is?

In my opinion it looks like a crassula volkensii. Which is a succulent and can easily be grown from a single leaf. 🤷🏻♀️
0 LikesI looked up some photos of that, and mine has never flowered

I’m a jade plant lover. I killed my first one. I’ve learned how to care for it now. It’s very easy. It needs lots of light and little water.
1 LikeI still think it’s donkey’s tail/burro’s tail lol. Donkey’s tail and jade plants are both succulents in the Crassulaceae family, like they’re closely related cousins. They (like most succulents really) both hold water in their leafs, both require lots of bright light and need little water, and both can both propagate from a leaf. I also love my jade plants, and in my personal experience I have never had a jade plant that had such narrow, pointed leaf tips. The leafs on all of my jade trees or crawlers have been flatter, round/oval shaped, and quite rounded at the tip. To me, the leafs in OP’s pictures look quite fat as she described, like closer to a fat cone shape with a pointed tip than a flat, oval/rounded leaf shape. Also, in my experience the leafs on jade plants tend to vary in size a bit while the leafs on that plant seem to stay pretty uniform in size, like burro’s tail. It did kind of possibly look like it could be that crassula volkensii, but mostly just in shape/structure
1 LikeA commenter said it looked like a trailing jade and I’d have to agree. Burros tail leaves are a lot closer together.
0 LikesI really appreciate all the help! Definitely going to change its environment and lessen its watering schedule. And maybe propagate part of it :)
0 LikesIt honestly looks like a very stretched out ghost plant to me!
