my fellow plant friends - can someone explain to me what’s happening here? I would call it reverse variegation?

    they're reverting, but like, not in a bad way? these plants are bred from genetic varieties that do have green and the ideal lime-ish color and are simply bred until the green is gone and the mutation is stable. this is just the genetic predecessors peeking through. super cool! doesn't indicate a problem, they just do that sometimes LOL
