2 likes“The two are most easily distinguishable by the “scalloped” stems vs straight stems on the dragon fruit and dog tail, respectively. Even on juvenile dragon fruit plants, the stems develop a “segmented” or “scalloped” appearance, remaining intact but tapering to a much thinner diameter before returning to its original size- repeating this pattern as it continues to grow in length. In contrast, the diameter of Dog tail stems remain uniform, increasing in size proportional to its growth as a whole.” Taken from Reddit
