Found this baby growing alongside my roses. It was a pain to pull. Especially when trying to keep roots in tact. I put it in a separate pot while I decide to keep versus toss it.

9sSeconding Phyllanthus. It is indeed invasive as it’s from Asia and they reproduce really really fast. Phyllanthus is known for the little seeds that pop up under their leaves. If that were a mimosa, the leaves wouldn’t have the seeds and they fold up when touched. Mimosa is also from Asia and invasive.

Also if you want a plant similar but wayyy more fun, get a sensitivum biophytum instead. It looks just like this plant, but it’s a floral leaf shape structure and grows upright like a tree. And if you touch it, it folds. Coolest part is it eventually sees you as “safe” touch and it won’t react as strongly after some time.
