Planta says this is a ZZ plant. I rescued it from the floor of a Lowe’s a while back and placed it in water. It has roots and I’m getting ready to pot it up but I was wondering exactly what it is. Do you agree or do you think it’s something else?
I don’t think it’s a Zz plant. Also ZZ plants have rhyzhomes so if theres also not a medium to large ball at the bottoms of the stem with the roots then it’s decently not a ZZ

This is what the base looks like. I own two zzs so I didn’t think that was likely to be it
0 Mi piace Ooo okay maybe I stand corrected. That does look like the stem of a ZZ and it does have a ball forming which can happen if the rhizome dies but the stem survives. The leaves throw me off for sure but apples plant identifier says it’s a ZZ as well.

Doesn't look too far off from a zz. It might be, though. This is my zz for comparison if needed.
