      issa xanthosoma! I’ve only ever carried that variety at my old job. Unsure if theres other cool xanthosomas ahahah

      Just checked. It’s actually a caladium.

      yes and no. caladium is generally the variety that we think of as more ornamental. they’re bred for their thin and colorful leaves. xanthosoma is a cousin of caladiums but many xanthosoma tubers are edible as well as ornamental whereas caladiums are strictly ornamental. it’s kind of like the differences between alocasia and colocasia (colocasia being the dual edible and ornamental). both caladiums and xanthosoma are in the same tribe (caladiinae) but they do are different genera. hope this clarifies! :)
