Hello, does anyone know the name of this plant please? It’s been quite a slow grower so I want to check how I can help it a bit more!

Peperomia obtusifolia variegated. Needs succulent care-soil totally dry between waterings, bright light. Can even handle morning sun. I trim it to keep it bushier. Shallow pots because of shallow root system, and because it’s semi succulent, it’s easier to care for in a terracotta pot.

Wow thank you!! That looks incredible- what are your caring tips? Watering, light and positioning etc!

People tend this plant differently. Most people let it grow and then stake it, as Aria has said in her post. I don’t do it that way. When it gets too tall, I do some trimming. I have given away so many props from this plant. Cuttings root quickly. I’ve even seen some use it in a hanging planter draping over the sides.

To echo Phil, these plants thrive on succulent-like care. I’ve noticed rapid growth when I give them bright light. I let the soil dry out between watering then drench it when I do water. The leaves tell you when it’s time to water: they’re thick and rigid after being watered then thin and limp when it’s time to water. Also, I tend to rotate the pot and use sticks to prop up the plant when I notice it leaning.
