Does anyone know what kind of aloe this is? I'm assuming it's not aloe vera given that the leaves are very flat. Thank you in advance!

c.cathmm, im having a hard time finding something similar on google (plant id app was innaccurate) but i wonder if its a kind of agave. it def isnt the medicinal, trandition aloe vera, as the leaves are much darker and shinier, and the new growth doesnt have the spots on it. how much ligjt does it get? - if its leggy from too little light it could be affecting the leaf shape.

Hi there! My partner keeps it under a grow light for about 9-12 hours a day. It started out super small in a red solo cup, so its definitely growing healthy!

oh nice! have you tried google lens? i dont have chrome on my phone so i cant run it unfortunately. i'll keep googling tho and will lyk if i find anything:)

I definitely think you might be right about it being agave! At least that's what Google lens believes too lol
