Anyone have any clue what this could be? It keeps ID’ing as a dracena, but it’s very different than any dracena I’ve had; the edges of the leaves are ribbed and slightly sharp almost like the cutting end of a tape dispenser, and according to my dad in its glory days the center was a flower of sorts. I’m trying to rehab it for him but have no clue where to start!

    okay u think i figured it out. Brushing Bromeliad. it’s has rough edges just like yours

    This is a bromeliad. It unfortunately looks like it has crown rot

      But possibly some pups off to either side, you could separate out? Bromeliads like tillandsia tend to die after flowering. The flower dies off, the plant produces a pup or a few and then the mother dies off.

      Thank you thank you thank you! You just made this “rehab” so simple! It turns out that it was four whole pups around that dead center! Good as new ☺️
