Hey y’all, my mom gave me this. I’ve had him for about 4 years now. It wasn’t until this year the spiky cactus looking parts starting growing. Neither of us knows what it is. I have been looking for years and can’t find anything that looks like this. Don’t mind the chop sticks lol but you can see, the main part of the thing is thin, not like the top parts that look like a normal cactus… any help or knowledge is helpful. Planta didn’t even have a good suggestion lol

im pretty sure thats a dragon fruit cactus! they tend to be pretty droopy, so i THINK you could let it flop over if you want :)

They are really strange. And have several growth patterns. I have curtings too! From my grandma. Their care and fertilizer is a bit different from an actual cactus too.

They are also ment to drape, hang, so you don't need the chopsticks, unless you want it more upright.

Definitely an orchid cactus! I have one too. It looks kind of similar.
