Does anybody know what kind of plant this is and if you do, what is the best way to care for?

It is a Hemigraphis alternata. I've never had one, though, so I don't have any care tips for you.

Yep. Purple waffle. I have one and I love her. Keep her moist. She will lay down dramatically when she is thirsty. I watered her, and she sprung to life in 30 minutes.
