Hi Everyone!! I was hoping to pick some brains about this mystery root I found when repotting my White Birds of Paradise plant. I received the plant yesterday in the mail and I noticed a weird root on the side of the plant. It is purple in color and seems to have a good root system. What on earth could this guy be? Thank you!

Cover it with a clear bag with a couple of holes cut into it to increase humidity

Looks like it could be sweet potato vine. But really I guess could be anything! I just cleared out a mixed container where I had one as a spiller and those roots were everywhere in that thing. So the color is standing out to me in the picture. Now you you have to update us when it grows out ☺️🤗 I do the same with random plantlets or roots I find lol. You never know what things will turn out to be! Fun.
