Most apps tell me the first picture is a jade plant? But I also have this rescue in the second picture that I'm also being told is jade? Anyone have any opinions, thoughts? They'd be much appreciated

The jade plant itself looks to be in a pretty big pot for the size the plant is. Jades enjoy being more snug in their pots, and even getting a little rootbound. I’d opt for a pot no more than 1-2 inches larger than the diameter of the root ball’s width. Downsizing the pot will lower the risk of overwatering and root rot by reducing the amount of time it takes for the soil to dry out, as well as the amount of time that the roots are sitting in damp soil. The soil is more prone to getting compacted or hydrophobic a little faster than other plants, so using a wooden skewer to stick into the soil and move around in the soil will help aerate it more, bringing more oxygen to the roots. Let the soil completely dry out between waterings, and you can use a skewer again to test if the soil is dry enough to water. If the soil sticks to it, wait at least 2 days, then test it again. If the skewer comes out clean, it should be safe to water. Hope this helps!
1 j'aimeI will downsize the pot for the second one then, but....is the first one also a jade? Or will the first eventually grow to look like the second? They just look nothing alike so I'm confused why they're being identified as the same plant
1 j'aimeThey both look to be jades. And yes, while it may take some time for the larger plant to grow its leaves back, the leaves will mature and grow in size once it starts working on new leaves
2 J'aimeOk sorry did a double check on the second photo, and it might be an elephant bush, which is sometimes called a “mini jade”. You can look up “elephant bush” in the Planta search section to compare it to yours to confirm. The first photo with the small pot is a jade.
1 j'aimeI think the larger one is most likely an elephant bush upon closer inspection. The same rules apply to that one as what I said about the jade, though; so I definitely think downsizing the pot will help it grow a bit faster
1 j'aimeYes, second pic is elephant bush. First is Jade
