I received this lovely little plant as a free gift because it was my birthday at Lilith’s Conservatory in Doylestown, PA 😆 TIA to anyone who can help me identify what this plant specifically is. 🌱

      Thank you ☺️ And your dog is adorable 🥰 I was up in Doylestown in search of a goldfish plant, actually. I went to their other location in Quakertown on Friday, and the lady in line before me got the last Nematanthus Shady Lady Mae in the store. So yesterday, I was determined to see if their other store had one, and lo and behold, one was staring at me through the window. The owner was very sweet and overheard my mom saying it was my birthday at the checkout counter and handed it to me for free. I was so shocked. It was a very pleasant surprise. I hope to wish others to have such good (plant-filled) fortune on their future birthdays to come 🎂

This just warms my heart. Thank you so much for sharing. I've been looking for one myself, but haven't had any luck yet. The colors on yours are absolutely gorgeous 😍 Such a beautiful plant. Enjoy!😊

      I got my original Shady Lady Mae online from Winter Greenhouse of Winter, Wisconsin, actually. Highly recommend checking them out in the springtime if you can’t find one in your neck of the woods at nurseries. It arrived in the mail in great condition and even with plenty of flower buds in the works! I just bought this new one cause I was so excited to see one in person with the flowers blooming already, and wanted to make my current one fuller in less time. 😊

      Thank you 😊 I highly recommend checking Lilith’s Conservatory in Doylestown or Quakertown PA out if you’re ever in the area. I was so blown away from the owner’s kindness on Saturday. That really made my day.

    I'll definitely make note of that. I've been to PA a couple times, however that was before my plant addiction. I did check out the winter greenhouse last night and looked into their online shop. Beautiful plants, and I did see 3 different varieties of goldfish plants, of course they're all sold out,but I already signed up for email notifications 😀 If you haven't seen the other 2 varieties, you should check it out. Thank you 😊

      If you’re ever in the PA area again, my favorite nursery is Ott’s Exotic Plants. It’s a huge nursery and each room has different species in it. There’s a waterfall and koi pond in the center of the store, and in the fall, they have a Mum Mountain—it’s a manmade mountain they fill with mums every year. That’s in Schwenksville, PA. I’ve been meaning to check out nurseries in Philadelphia, but Ott’s is the closest one to me. It’s a very unique experience 😊

    Oh my goodness 😳 that is absolutely beautiful. I would be in so much trouble, no self control when it comes to plants. Lol. I'd better bring a U-haul 🤣 putting that nursery on my list too. Thank you 😊

      Completely understand that 😂 It’s very difficult for me to leave without at least 1-2 new plants. Very dangerous for my bank account for sure 😗 Mid to late spring and summer are their best times for new plant stock, but their busiest days are definitely in the fall for Mum Mountain. I do a lot of reevaluating my collection throughout the year and gifting ones that aren’t interesting me as much to friends and family to give myself the excuse to buy new plants. Rescued a Thai Pink Lipstick Plant a few months back and I’m planning on using her as a good investment by selling cuttings of her since she’s pretty hard to find around me. I suppose I could start selling the plants I gift to loved ones to fund my plant habit, though 🤣

    I would love to see the Mum Mountain in person. It looks absolutely gorgeous. It's funny you say you've been reevaluating your collection throughout the year,, I've also been doing this for quite a while, and still haven't gotten anywhere. Lol I did give away some plants to friends, but it didn't really make a dent, but I recently joined a local FB group where you can buy and sell plants. I might try to post some over Thanksgiving 🤔 my problem is, I can't stop propagating, I have so many props everywhere, but I love it. I never heard of a Thai Pink Lipstick plant, had to look that up, it's beautiful. You may want to check FB and see if you have a local group. 😉
