Hey I’m unsure what type of plant this is! I think it’s a string of turtles but I’m still unsure. If anyone has this plant some tips would also be appreciated!!!! Xoxo

    Looks like a trailing peperomia. I don’t see the classic turtle shell pattern on the leaves from the pic.

    You’ve got a peperomia pepperspot. From the looks of it, it’s dehydrated. They’re often put in pots that are too large and in peat-heavy soil, especially if it’s from a box store like Lowe’s. They’re very prone to shock from repottings, but it’ll likely need a downsizing once you remove all the crispy pieces. I’d recommend picking up some Bonide’s Rooting Hormone Powder from Lowe’s, Home Depot, Ace Hardware, or any local nursery, then gently popping it out of the pot to see how much of the plant remains, and taking the time to snip off all the dried stems. They have quite shallow root systems, so you might find that it’s in a lot of excess soil, or doesn’t have as many roots as before. Try not to fool with the roots too much, but if they look dry and crispy like the stems, or like they rotted in the past, you can snip some of those sections off rather than untangling all the roots to remove the dead roots and increasing the risk of shock. Cover the roots liberally with the rooting powder to reduce shock risk and help the plant grow new roots faster, and wait at least a day before watering after adding rooting powder, or you’ll wash all of it away before it can work. This type of plant does very well being bottom-watered, and to help it grow new roots and sterilize the roots system after any previous rot or dried decay, add some hydrogen peroxide to the water before bottom-watering it. They do well in spaces that provide at least 2-4 hours of sunlight, but can handle brighter spots that get 4-6 hours of sun a day too. Hope this helps. 😊
