This plant is an **Alocasia**, often referred to as an "Elephant Ear" plant due to the shape of its leaves. Specifically, it looks like an **Alocasia Polly**, which is known for its striking dark green, arrow-shaped leaves with prominent white or light green veins. Alocasia plants can be a bit finicky, but with the right care, they can thrive. Here are some tips to help your plant recover and grow: ### 1. **Lighting** - Alocasias prefer **bright, indirect light**. They can tolerate some lower light conditions, but they won’t thrive in them. Avoid direct sunlight, as it can burn the leaves. ### 2. **Watering** - **Water regularly**, but allow the top 1-2 inches of soil to dry out between waterings. Overwatering can lead to root rot, which these plants are prone to. - Make sure the pot has **good drainage**, as they dislike soggy soil. ### 3. **Humidity** - Alocasias love **high humidity**. Try to increase the humidity around the plant by using a humidifier, placing a tray of water and pebbles under the pot, or misting the leaves regularly. - If the air is too dry, the leaves might turn brown at the edges, which could explain why some of your plant's leaves are curling. ### 4. **Soil** - They thrive in a well-draining, loose soil mix that retains some moisture but doesn't stay wet for long. A mixture for aroids, or adding perlite to your potting mix, should work well. ### 5. **Temperature** - Keep it in a **warm environment**, ideally between 65-80°F (18-27°C). Avoid placing it near drafts, heaters, or air conditioners, as Alocasias can be sensitive to temperature fluctuations. ### 6. **Fertilizing** - Fertilize once a month during the growing season (spring and summer) with a balanced, diluted houseplant fertilizer. Avoid fertilizing in the winter when the plant is dormant. ### 7. **Pruning** - Remove any yellow or dead leaves to encourage new growth and maintain plant health. Dead leaves may indicate too much or too little water, or stress from the environment. With these care tips, your Alocasia should regain its strength and start showing healthy, new growth soon! Keep an eye on the soil moisture and humidity levels, as they are key for this plant.

Thank you so much. Yeah i thought it was a Polly because I have a bambino arrow. Thank you so much for all that wonderful advice. Right after that post I saw that it had slimy root rot on one piece. I have some chunky soil on its way to change it asap.🤍🪴
