hello, I got this baby sedum cutting in late August but since it had no roots at the time I didn’t care about what its exact species was. Now that I’ve realized there are roots, I would love to know what it is so I can properly put it in Planta. Right now I have it under sedum - mixed varieties but I was hoping for something more specific. I’ve heard it could be a golden sedum but right now it’s just green. The most color it’s gotten has been a hint of red on the leaf tips. The pictures are from a few months ago since this little guy was getting more sun back then. Any help is appreciated, thank you in advance!

    Here are couple of mine. Sedum Adolphi or golden sedum. First is firestorm. Second is a new plant that was just labeled golden sedum. I introduced it to my bright grow lights to soon and it had some sunburn. Third is a lime gold but don’t think that is yours because they tend to have thicker leaves. So my guess would be firestorm. But they are all very similar and yours could be a different adolphi. I hope my info is correct but bear in mind, I could be wrong. It’s just based on my experience but I do have a lot of succulents, about 150.

      Do sedum adolphi tend to vary in the amount of red/green present? My only concern was that this guy is too green to be a golden sedum but I trust your judgment! Maybe once winter passes and it gets sunnier there will be more red. I categorized this guy as a sedum adolphi, thank you!

      They need a lot of light to become sun stressed and change color. Colors will vary. My lime gold stays green and will not color up. Firestorm is probably the most colorful. Mine is in a stand hanging below two 70 watt led lights about 14 hours a day. Here are some pics of my other sedums, not adolphi. But the color varies widely.

      This is actually a graptosedum. But had to show you this. It’s beautiful color.
