The app keeps saying this is a corn plant but it doesn’t have the palm-like base I see in the pictures. Is this just a juvenile corn plant or is it something else? Thanks in advance!

    its probably a dracaena then! im not sure what kind, but that will get you down the correct path :)

    Yes c.cat is right. It’s a Dracaena Fragrans also called corn plant. As it gets taller you strip the bottom leaves off to give it the palm like base your looking for.

    Pic from the net, what a baby corn plant aka Dracenea looks like. Like Mr V said, the common stump you see develops later as it grows thicker

    This is my corn plant (don’t mind his crustiness, it’s a work in progress) I didn’t know they could have less color differentiation on the leaves!

      I think its common to see this one. But They can come in green, yellow or lime like colors with or without varigation
