I am trying to revive this plant at my office, Planta says it’s a Money Tree (pachira aquatics). I’m not 100% convinced as the leaf is more rounded than the money tree; does anyone have any idea what plant this could be?

Would you like to send some additional close up photos of the leaf so it’s possible to take a better look at it? Since it lacks most leaves it’s a little trickier to ID it. Is any of the leaf sides slightly velvety or are both sides glabrous?

Both sides of the leaf feel the same, smooth and not velvety. The leaf is not very thick and light does go through it; it is rather dark green so it’s not super obvious unless you look. I’ve attached photos of the top and underside.

Thank you 😊 I’m leaning towards it being a Ficus species, perhaps a F. aurea, a Florida strangler fig. It could also be a Codiaeum variegatum, a croton that isn’t showing any color at the moment. Either way the plant is a little atypical and it will be easier to confirm an accurate ID for when it has grown more. Until then you can add it as a Ficus aurea.

Thank you! I appreciate the help, and my almost leafless little guy appreciates it too 😊
