looks like tradescantia chrysophylla or “baby bunny bellies” provide it with plenty of indirect light, an hour or so of direct light is okay too as long as it’s acclimated to brighter light. water once at least the top inch or two of soil is dry. they can handle some drought occasionally but prefer to stay moist. i am not a tradescantia expert, others may have different advice, but this works for me. it’s totally normal for the stem to fall over gradually, i would recommend checking out this plant’s natural growth habit in the wild— tradecantia tend to crawl and form a carpet over the ground.
1 j'aimeIght thanks for the advice!
0 J'aimeThis grows like weeds! Had one for years - watered every 1-2 weeks, can snap off parts of stem under any leaf & prop right into the soil!
1 j'aimeSo if I just rip a part of a stem that has a leaf I can propagate it?.

i wouldn’t recommend propagating this plant at all, it’s much too small. when it comes time to propagate you’ll want to remove at least few inches of the vine, roughly the size of your plant currently. make sure that it has at least a node or two. the node is the little “knuckle” on the vine that has two opposite leaves and potentially a few little root buds.
1 j'aimeThanks for letting me know! I knew it was a bit to small to currently do anything with it but dident quite know how to properly propagate it.
0 J'aimeLooks like a Purple Heart spiderwort to me. I have a plant like this that I wasn’t sure of, but I posted and practically everyone told me that’s what is was. I may be completely wrong considering everyone else here said something else, but hope that helps somewhat! 😬
1 j'aimeThanks for letting me know either way!
1 j'aimeYeah, ofc!
