Can anyone identify this plant and advise me how to stop it growing so high! I've had it for over a year when it started out as an 6" high beauty then got out of hand. I dont have the space to have it on the floor.

It’s probably growing like that searching for light so if you give it more light, it won’t be so leggy. You can probably just chop off the top part that you don’t want there and let it keep growing from there which will probably make it more bushy anyway.

Thank you, I will try that.

This is a Radermachera sinica (china doll plant). They are trees! When grown as house plants they can get 5’ tall and 3’ wide! In my experience with enough light, they grow very fast. I think yours is growing pretty good, not so leggy as they can get with lower light. You really need to trim them often. I trim mine probably once a month in the spring/summer.

If this were my plant I would chop it here. Then once it starts growing good again in the spring I would trim it down just a little more, so that it would branch out a little lower to the base. ❤️🪴
