Fittonia albivenis AKA nerve plant. They are native to Peru, and like humidity. I have one that is white. But they are similar. The pink nerve plant, also known as Fittonia albivenis, is a tropical houseplant with vibrant green leaves and pink veins that adds a touch of exotic beauty to your home. Here are some more tips for caring for your pink nerve plant: Avoid placing it in direct sunlight or in spaces without natural light Water regularly, keeping the soil moist. Bottom watering is also an option When repotting, place any lost leaf tips back into the soil to propagate. Rooting hormone can increase your chances of success if conditions are less than ideal. Normally grown as a potted houseplant, nerve plant is a spreading evergreen perennial with delicately veined, deep-green, ovate leaves. Although the most popular vein color is silvery-white, there are also varieties with veins in red, pink, white, and green. Nerve plant typically grows to a height of three to six inches with a trailing spread of 12 to 18 inches. Although the slow-growing plant rarely flowers when grown as an indoor houseplant, it does occasionally bloom with insignificant reddish or yellowish-white spikes. In a frost-free climate, the plant is sometimes grown as a creeping ground cover in filtered sun locations. Nerve Plant Care As beautiful as it is, never plant is somewhat temperamental and tricky to grow as a houseplant. It requires very high, constant humidity, such as is found in a terrarium, and cannot tolerate stagnant conditions. Nerve plant is also sensitive to strong, direct sunlight and can suffer from leaf burn. When grown indoors, pot a nerve plant in a peaty commercial potting mix. The plant needs to be kept constantly moist with a high level of ambient humidity provided by a humidifier or by placing the pot in a tray filled with pebbles and water.
