I have a splash Hoya that has some kind of grit on the leaves. Feels like spores or maybe some kind of fungus. The plant is big and healthy looking except for this. Also just removed about 5 leaves that were yellow. Took a picture on my hand.

I’ve had this a while. Bought a Sunrise but now I’m suddenly thinking it’s a Porcelain Flower. What do you think? Do I need to go get a real Sunrise? 😬

My Hoya Lacunosa ‘Royal Flush’ is getting a late start on blooming. The new growth is dark from a little sun stressing. The new ends look like one of the Hoya Lacunosa ‘Black’ varieties.

My Hoya Danumensis has opened her blooms. This is the biggest flowers I’ve seen on a hoya! They are about 1 inch wide when fully opened. The flowers are waxy and look like pleated lampshades. The scent is supposed to be like lemon grass or citronella. My sinus allergies are blocking me from smelling it right now. The flowers typically last 7 days. Hopefully, I can smell them in a few days. 😍🌸

It’s not like I needed more, but these 3 beauties arrived! Fungi, Royal Hawaiian Purple, and Bella. In my defense, I just recently lost my fur kid Bella, so it was mandatory to get the Bella when I saw it ❤️

This leaf on my Hoya Glabra is huge compared to the leaves next to it!😍 I didn’t know it could develop black margins. I bought a rooted cutting in a starter pot about a year ago for its heart shaped leaf. It’s still in the starter pot with new growth leaves and vines. 🪴🍀

October is the month when Hoya Nummularioides blooms!😍 This variety of hoya puts out many sweet flowery perfumed flowers along the woody vines. The flower clusters are thumbnail size. The blooms are prolific. This is the hoya you buy to see a hoya bloom. 🌸🌸🌸 I have several grown from cuttings. They are easy to propagate in water or soil. They like moderate temperatures better than the scorching Texas summer heat and high humidity. They like bright light and blooms well with about 4 hours to 5 hours of direct morning sunlight. They get filtered southern light in winter. They need regular fertilizer especially when blooming. 🪴🍀

The top two leaves on my Hoya have come in purple. Is that a good thing or bad thing? I have to admit that I have two Hoyas and they definitely aren’t my favorite plants so I’m not that knowledgeable of them.

This Mathilde splash is one of my unexpected favorites from my new plants! I have her in a chunky soil and some pons for extra drainage. I’m also trying a self watering pot so I am letting her dry a little before her first water in the new set up!

My Rosita came a little bigger than expected but I’m so excited to see her grow into this trellis. Also I’m experimenting with pons so she’s been cleaned of her soil and potted with moist pons and I will add water to reservoir in a few days.

My Hoya Danumensis is quickly growing its first set of blooms. They were just small flower buds six days ago as shown in the last photo. The flower heads are about 1/4 inch today. The rate of growth is much faster than most of my other hoyas that can take weeks to open. 😍🪴🍀

Windy is doing great! Doing a lot for a 2" pot come to think of it. For a little thing this Hoya is pretty hardy.

I’ve had this Hoya Danumensis for about 6 months. I found its first peduncle while trying to thread the new growth onto the trellis.😍 I bought this hoping to see its unusually large bell shaped white blooms.
