Brought my first Hoya Krohniana yesterday. Any advice for a first timer… I named her Essie because every thing I’ve read and learned prior says they’re easy to care for… Thank you in advance for any advice 💚🌿🪴

Do I need to trim this all white segment? I've heard it's a drain on the plant.
Hoya Pachyclada with its first peduncle and a baby tree frog. It’s in a 3” pot bought in March from Gabriella Plants online. It tripled in size sitting on a northeast window sill outside getting direct morning sunlight. 😍
These are two hoyas I got about a month ago. They are Hoya Ricardo (SS 13-5) and Hoya Finlaysonii x Pachyclada. I was attracted to the leaf structure on both plants. Hoya Ricardo (SS 13-5) has puffy leaves shaped like a table tennis paddle. The markings are beautiful. It quickly sells out or it’s priced out of my budget. It’s a hybrid cross: Hoya Vitellina x Hoya Deykeae. The Hoya Finlaysonii x Pachyclada has the vein markings of the Finlaysonii, the leaf thickness of the Pachyclada and the combined leaf shapes of both plants. Both are from Gardino Nursery.
Newbie Hoya Substrate advice I’m really uncomfortable with the rocky dry medium this new acquisition is rooted in. All my plants are in soil. So, I’m unfamiliar / have no experience with this substrate, how / when to water, etc. I’d much prefer to repot in my usual DIY Hoya soil mix, but am worried about shocking it / kill it off. If it’s ok to repot, how soon should I do it? TIA. 🙏🌱
Hoya Campanulata Splash bloom. So pretty!
Lovely girl… gifted as a cutting October of ‘23, predominantly green. Aprrox 14” from t5 lights and 80% humidity. H. Sunrise
So I mainly use Planta to keep track of my ever growing plant collection and when I last watered. I’m primarily a Hoya collector and I’ve run into a problem recently with Planta. I recently acquired Hoya Cardiophylla and it’s not an option in the Planta App. I put a request in for it to be added but haven’t seen the devs take action yet. It’s only been three days but I know myself and will forget about it if I don’t have it logged and tracked lol. Anyone have a suggestion of a similar Hoya I could enter this one under for a watering schedule or give a suggestion for a watering schedule for Cardiophylla? I make my own Hoya mix that I would describe as an all purpose well draining epiphytic blend. I have it in my grow tent that averages at about 85% humidity but plan to introduce it slowly to be out of the tent into house air that fluctuates between 35% - 50% humidity. I appreciate any and all care suggestions since this is the first time I’ve acquired Cardiophylla.
I couldn’t figure out how to edit my other post so am posting the update here: my 14 year old Hoya actually bloomed!! At first there was no fragrance but this is day three and it’s a pretty strong floral. Yay!!
Brown and black spots on new Hoya crassipetiolata, can’t tell what it is :( help!
Crazy Hoya undulata… after multiple phases of growing leaves and dropping leaves my undulata settled down and set out 3 normal leaves and what I thought was a big leaf. I felt that we were getting comfortable. Now this leaf! Incredible, very large, very healthy leaf. This plant might need a cabinet of its own! lol
Run to your local Home Depot. Just found a big one for $20. 😍 🏃♀️
Hello 🤗 need help identifying this Hoya I got last night at Home Depot for $3! I have over 30 house plants but this is my first Hoya and I’ve tired reverse image searching and I’ve came up with the either a ‘Rosita’ or a ‘Carnosa’ Any ideas? Thank you 🍃❤️ She’s going to get a new pot and a small trellis soon
My Australis has finally bloomed! It's grown so humongous and I started seeing bloom nodes several months ago. What a looker!
$14.99 at Meijer…. say less! You already know it came home with me! They had it labeled as “low light foliage” 😐🤦🏻♀️ I’m thinking maybe a Rosita? What do you think? The Planta app calls every Hoya I scan a Krimson Queen lol
My Hoya Krinkle 8 has finally bloomed. Fair to say it is indeed a stunner! And yes…..as I have heard, it really smell like chocolate, almost like cocoa powder to me. 🌸❤️🍫
Does anyone know why me Hoya Kerri is putting out leafs that are half the size of the original one
Love how much my Hoyas will take this Texas heat!
my plants all suddenly seem to be having issues 😭 all of these leaves came off my hoya today with a very gentle tug. the bumps on a few are scary looking so I just wanted to see if this looks like anything worse than over watering? pls don’t say scale.
Can anyone tell me what Hoya this is?
