I got this Hoya a month or so ago from Lowe’s and then all of a sudden the one side died and I have since removed it. Should I keep the plant on the trellis or grow it a different way? Looking for any advice to keep it alive!

hello! 👋😊 i am new to Hoyas! i got this beauty at a farmers market and she lost her leaves and i think the pot is way too big yeah! i’ve been recommended to downsize :) i removed dead leaves and tend to her when needed. she receives east light and there’s been a grow light too! super amazing to see these buds as i did what i could, so i would be thankful for any helpful advice! downsize? identification, soil & repot? the second stem doesn’t seem to be doing anything and i don’t know what the white discoloration is on the soil :( i own orchid bark, succulent/cacti mix, and need to re-up on soil 😊 i’d love for her to flourish and to clean her up!

This is my standard Hoya Lacunosa. It’s a no fuss no splash variety that’s more affordable than other Lacunosa varieties. It shines in the heavy load of blooms all summer. Plus, it sun stresses to a brick color with pink blooms. The non sun stressed blooms are white. The photo with all green leaves is my second one of the same variety. It’s not sun stressed as yet.

This is one of my fast growing super shiny Hoya Monette! (Not to be confused with Hoya Monetteae which has the standard small flowers.) I got two little plants from Plant Proper at the end of November. They are both almost 4 feet long! I’m hoping for their extra large puffy blooms next year. 😍🪴

hi everyone. been a while. i just got this krimson queen prop for free from a local nursery since it wasn’t looking too good. (feel free to correct my id if i’m wrong) i repotted it when we got home in a slightly looser mix (espoma all purpose potting soil) since it was in a soggy compost-heavy mix. it’s been on our porch (on the northeast side) for a week or so and i’m seeing signs of new growth (see pictures below). however i am concerned about the leaves— the only two remaining green leaves are yellowing and dying off. i’ll wait to see what color the new growth is but i worry i may have to trim off most of the leaves to encourage her to grow more green… does anyone know if lighting is a factor here? any tips to ensure her survival are appreciated!

Hoya seed pods on my Hoya Heuschkeliana yellow and Hoya Krohniana Black!😍 The photo of the Hoya Lacunosa Royal Flush shows the seed pod on the peduncle in August 2024.🪴🌱

This adorable little Hoya Curtisii arrived in the mail 😊 thought I’d share it with those who’d understand my excitement 😂 If anyone has any name suggestions for this one, please feel free to share them in the comments, cause I have no idea what I’m gonna name this one. TIA! (And feel free to turn this into a thread sharing your favorite Hoyas 😉)

I’m hoping I can get some help identifying this plant? It said an exotic angel plant and clean air plant I thought it looked like a Hoya “Chelsea”. However the plant ID tool said it was a peperomia “hope”, but I have one of those and they don’t look alike. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

This is the first blooms on my Hoya Crassipetiolata after a year! It smells like a ripe mango!🥭 The other blooming hoyas are my Hoya Noona (David Cummingii x Heuschkeliana), which smells like cake batter 🍰, and Hoya Crassipetiolata, which has no scent that I can detect.

I've officially joined the Hoya fam 😆 due too impulse Etsy shopping. I wasn't sure if I needed more plant genus around, but now that they have arrived I can verify they are quite cute in person 🤗. Welcome Karmela and Carlos

Everyone in my collection is going off. Verticillata is blooming with more peduncles popping left and right. Waiting on wayetii, crassipetiolata, curly carnosa, and pubicalyx.

This is a hoya I never knew I needed since it is not common or popular. I bought this Hoya David’s Green Cup as an afterthought because I was buying other hoyas online and it was relatively cheap, under $15, from the same seller. It quickly became a favorite growing four times the initial length in about a year. It’s a Hoya Carnosa and Hoya Obovata cross. It’s has teardrop leaves. It’s an easy care plant and is still in its original 4” plastic nursery pot. It looks a bit dry in the photos and needs water.

I need help with identifying this Hoya. The app is telling me Hoya Carnosa but I want to be sure that’s correct. The leaves don’t see like a carnosa to me, but I might be over thinking. I might just have other hybrid Hoya carnosa and don’t even know what the normal one looks like. Lol.
