Beginning to see some sun-stressing on my Sunrise đđ
My Hoya Patricia finally opened its first blooms overnight!đ. Smells sweet and complex like the Byredo fragrance, Inflorescence, which I love!đ itâs a strong jasmine and freesia scents. It has two more peduncles. Itâs tinted and blemished from sun stress. Itâs a cross between Hoya Darwinii and Hoya Elliptica and is very easy to grow. Highly recommended!
Help me care for this Hoya Rosita!!! All your tips will gladly help
Iâve had this Hoya for 14 years and she finally got flowers!! đđ
I just got this pretty little thing last night at Home Depot and the pot is about two inches nursery pot, my question is should I repot or wait?
My Hoya Shepherdii finally grew new leaves.
First flowers on my Hoya Mathilde, Hoya Patricia, and Hoya Burtoniae! I have learned that I canât let the potting mix stay dry too long or the blooming process slows. I have to water as soon as it dries or it could take weeks for a peduncle to mature and bloom. This means watering the Mathilde about every 2 days, the Patricia every 4 days and the Burtoniae every 5-6 days in 96°F temperatures and 75% relative humidity.đžđžđž
Hit the hoya jackpot at Home Depot yesterday! The whole rack was soaking wet and most of them were dying and squishy, but I dug in the back where they were a tad more dry and scored some decent ones! Only $2 each! I transferred them immediately into terracotta to help wick away a lot of that moisture, and have them outside in an east facing greenhouse so theyâre getting great morning sun. Debating if I should leave them like this until spring (I live in Chicago so theyâre going to need to come in for the winter), or try to repot now with better soil? Leaning towards leaving them be so I donât shock them too much? The roots look really healthy but just super short, like they havenât been rooted very long. What would you do?
Hi all! New user to planta and am looking for advice on my hoya! It flowered about this time last year but the peduncle looks like this (in the photo) and thereâs been no growth past that! Should I trim it and hope it grows back or what is best to help it flower again/keep growing on this trail? It has about 4 other healthy long trails too.
Got this krimson queen from a local plant boutique yesterday- soo excited. She's so beautiful
i know how bad it looks.. just hear me out đ i bought this plant a while ago and it just went completely down hill since i got it. i think its a hoya but im not sure what kind. when i got it the soil was very dry and old so i repotted it and it started dying over time. i tried to save what was left but it has absolutely no roots. itâs held on barely alive with no roots for some time now. i dont know what to do to save it lol đ sheâs been ignored for too long, any advice would be greatly appreciated. maybe water prop to grow new roots?
Iâm looking for Hoyas with colorful/unique foliage or blooms. I have about 80 right now.
my 2 new hoyas!!
I got this Krimson Queen at my local nursery a few months ago and Iâm not seeing any growth. The ends of the vines look like they may be dying off but Iâm not 100% sure. She seems leggy but this is my first Hoya so Iâm not sure what to expect! Should I repot? Does she look normal? Any advice is appreciated :)
my krimson queen putting out its 2nd flower head this year.
New to hoyas, this is my tricolour :)
This particular Hoya Sunrise has been blooming away constantly for the past two years, at least 3-4 times a year. Hanging next to a window facing west. With plenty of afternoon sunlight, that helps to âsun stressâ the leaves, stunning đ The scent of the flowers is also really goodâŠ..canât much associate with other particular smellsâŠit just smell great đ
Itâs time for orange aphids to appear, I guess. They have no fear of 95°F temperatures as they climb to the newest most tender vines. This is a Hoya Potsii I acquired about 6 weeks ago. Itâs a very fast grower I keep outside. The clean shiny leaves and red stems are the new growth in just 6 weeks! I used an alcohol spray (hand sanitizer) to kill them.
WellâŠâŠâGood things come to those who waitââŠ.having this stunning âHoya Krinkle 8â for over 3 years, today while watering and caring for it, I discovered her first flower bud! YepâŠ.a lot of buds! Cannot wait for the flower to bloomâŠ.i have heard that it smells like đ« â€ïž
It appears that Hoyas, are, in fact, a wee bit addictingâŠshe was just too cute to pass up!
