My Hoya Verticillata (pink) has its first blooms!😍🌸 The size is similar to a golf ball. It a has a scent similar to Hoya Lacunosa and Hoya Krohniana. It’s a spice scent with bergamot. Not overpowering. The red spots are edema that got sun stressed. This hoya was formerly known as Hoya Parasitica. 🪴🍀
My Hoya Elliptica blasted some of its flower buds. I can’t complain. She has bloomed well all summer. She has a second peduncle that is doing well.
hello :) can anyone help me identify what is happening to my hoya carnosa? I’ve checked her roots which seem good. I’ve also checked for pests & can’t seem to find any. thank you!!!
I got 2 H "Thomas White" free but I can't find any info on these online... are these Thomsonii? They have very pubescent leaves. Under which h should I put it under? Tia
Hoya sichuanensis (fka Lyi NOID), first flowers!
My Hoya Cumingiana put out several blooming peduncles that smell very sweet. You can smell the scent outside from 6 feet away! The scent is sugary and fruity. It smells like a bag of tropical candy with sweet flowers, mango and citrus notes. It’s supposed to smell stronger at night. It wasn’t overpowering at 9am. I thought my neighbor got a new fabric softener. 😍🪴🍀
This is the first peduncle on my Hoya Verticillata (pink)! She put out two more peduncles on another vine. 😍 I bought it a year ago in the end of season sales period. All it did was grow burgundy vines. I spent the spring and summer pulling the vines out of the window screen and off the bricks. The red spots are either sun stress or edema they got sun stressed!😁
My Hoya Elliptica is on her third set of blooms this summer!😍. All of my hoyas go inside in about a month when night temperatures drop too low for them (Coastal South Texas, zone 9). I’m happy to see her blooming again before she goes in. 🪴🍀
I got this Hoya around three months ago. Originally, I had gone to the garden centre to pick up a compacta, but couldn’t find one, so I just randomly decided to get a Hoya memoria. I stuck it in my window through the end of the summer months and noticed that growth was just bursting—I was getting a lot of new vines and new leaves. It was sun-stressing and looked gorgeous! Then, a few weeks back, I was creeping on it and spotted a peduncle. I was so over the moon and excited. I waited very patiently, and it bloomed for the first time for me. It smelt amazing, like caramel (might’ve given it a lick or two—don’t judge me 🫣). Ever since, I’ve been obsessed and have gotten a bunch: Hoya mathilde splash, obovata, krimson princess (even though I’m not a fan of pink, I love the creamy green inside), and finally a Hoya compacta, which I separated into two. On the way, I also have a Hoya kerrii, which my boyfriend bought for me—even though I apparently have “too many plants.” I can’t wait to buy more. I’m in love with buying small rooted cuttings, and I can’t wait to document their growth over the spring and summer once winter is over! Also, my memoria is putting out a bunch of new peduncles, even though it’s almost October. So funny—I can’t wait to get more blooms, hopefully!
My largest Hoya Nummularioides is blooming again!😍 They are prolific bloomers in October. They put out peduncles at almost every leaf node. The all over fuzz gives it a matte look and a brushed suede feel. The last photo shows one of the plants blooming last year.

Got my first ever hoya bloom!!
I got this Hoya Krimson Queen for my birthday the beginning of august. As you can see the vine has only put out white leaves (you can’t tell from the picture but there are lots of spots where old leaves have fallen off and it’s still putting out white leaves from those areas) just wondering if I should cut it back or will it eventually put out leaves with some green again. TIA PS. I’ve looked at the stem and it’s mostly white with a small streak of green.
Why isn't it growing? This is a bit of an old photo but it looks the exact same except the nub at the top dried. This is one of my first and only hoyas so I'm not expert
Just bought this krohniana from Etsy, and the wrinkled leaves concerned me. Checked the roots, they’re all healthy. No rot. Why the wrinkled leaves? The cutting has small roots, should I keep the soil damp? I repotted her in a cactus/orchid perlite mix as it was too dense soil before
Welcomed a new one home today. Hoya Lacunosa silver mint coin. Planta didn't have it added yet.

I purchased a Hoya Sarawak and I guess I overwatered it and leaves fell off. However I took it out of dirt and roots look pretty good. Any hints on resurrecting? Thank you.
