Ants are farming orange aphids on my recently opened blooms. These are the first blooms of my three years old Hoya Loyceandrewsiana. The ants are eating the nectar in the flowers. The ants benefit from the nectar produced by the aphids after the aphids suck the sap from my plants. The ants move the aphids to the tender new shoots and fight off insects that come onto the plant. Symbiotic pests. I have leveled up to using Raid ant and roach spray to fight them. 😩

First blooms on my two Hoya Krohniana Black, one years old!😍 The leaves are typically shiny and smooth. They were watered today and are a bit wrinkled. 🌸🌸🌸

*NOT MY PLANTS* I went to a nursery today and they had HUGE hoya and a bunch of them were in bloom too. just though I would share! It is my first time seeing hoya blooms in person, now I am even more obsessed. I think in order these are Hoya sheperdii, Hoya carnosa? and Hoya pubicalyx splash blooms more pictures in comments

I can’t complain about the gorgeous bloom, but this ridiculous vine is so poorly trellised, and I think it’s reverting. Coricea Silver.
