Orchid stem partially broke. Any suggestions on how to save it? I have a splint on the stem for now. Itās barely hanging on but still connected.

Waiting for these buds on my Hoya Elliptica to burst open. The buds look like teeth š¦·.
I bought these Hoya Brevialata near the end of last summer. They have grown even though I reduced the amount of water they are getting during the colder months. I feared root rot. I have recently increased the water they are getting since it is warming up in my area. They quickly put out new leaves. Their small spoon shaped leaves are adorable and very stiff. They branch out at an early stage and grow well for a hoya. Iām hoping they bloom once in my lifetime! Thatās my goal for all my hoyas!š
When your boyfriend forgets he already got you a sweetheart plant and gets you a second one for Valentines Day! Itās especially sweet because he always says no more plants. (Also peep the custom arrangement from our local plant shop!)
my hoya wayetii caught root rot š„² anyone have any tips for treating rotten hoya? iāve removed all of the mushy roots as far as possible and plan to soak them in a mild hydrogen peroxide solution. the nursery potted a bunch of cuttings in too big of a pot, which i only just realized unfortunately. weāre going down two sizes (from 6ā to 4ā) since a big portion of the roots are gone now. my biggest question is: is there any hope for the cuttings where rot has spread to the node? theyāre still firm, but some have barely any root left.
I finally got new growth!! How do i continue to make this keep happening??
Hoya patcharawalai 023 āIcensisā in bloom in my bird cage turned Hoya cabinet š Iām using regular grow light bulbs.
Peduncles Watch today š So exciting! #1 Hoya shepherdii 3 peduncles #2 Hoya phuwuaensis 2 more peduncles #3Hoya callistophylla 1 more #42 Hoya chinghungensis 5! peduncles
Got a new Hoya today, but without a label. Iām not familiar enough with krohniana and lacunosa to spot the difference, but Iām thinking it is one of those two. My gut is telling me krohniana, but I might just want it to be that because I love the darker leaf margins and want it to be a black leaves. Though itās probably just a regular olā something š which is just fine. One pic under grow light, second natural light. š
Have had a few Hoyas in my life and I donāt normally post pridefully, but I find this one simply gorgeous.
Picked up this STUNNING Hoya at Home Depot the other night š can someone help identify her? Iām pretty sure itās a Hoya pubicalyx? But I could be wrong, Iām fairly new to Hoyas, 3rd one in my collection
Hoya Heuschkeliana variegata looking extremely cute.
Anybody have advice for how to get Hoyas to grow? Iāve had one for two years and the other for a year and neither have put out too much new growth since getting them. They are both in a chunky bark potting mix and get fertilized with orchid fertilizer every month (heard it helps them bloom? Idk if thatās true though). They are also in a cabinet with 12 hr grow lights, 60-80% humidity and 70-80 degrees. Are they just slow growers? Donāt have that much experience with Hoyas. The latest growth on the crimson queen is all white so not sure whether to cut it off?
Curious about the potting substrates that folks have had the best (or worst) luck for keeping your Hoyas thriving? I have lots of starter size Hoyas that Iāve had a year or less. Pon and LECA seem spiff and Iāve been using them when potting up cuttings, but I see a lot of comments online from folks who eventually lose their Hoyas to root rot in pon or leca after months to years.
I finally got a variegated compacta š„¹ My plant shop had them at 50% off and I couldnāt not get it. I know itās going to take forever to grow but hoya growth is so rewarding!
As soon as I cross one wishlist Hoya off, I end up adding a couple more.. The term āHoya Holeā is no joke. Anyway, welcome home to this little girl, Hoya Pandurata Silver.. Iāve heard that silver Hoyaās are more thirsty. Do any of you share that opinion?
New leaves are pink! š
Hi yāall, I moved to a new apartment and it had the cutest sunroom with so many windows & skylights. so I got 3 hanging planters. Today I put a different Hoya in each planter. Looking for any tips or advice to keep them alive?! Thank you āŗļøšŖ“ Hoya Kerrii Hoya Wayetti (tricolor) Hoya Black Margin PS, BookNook attached š¤
New leaf on my Hoya Clemensorium. Love when a cutting received begins to thrive.
Flowered for the first time for me. Hoya Lacunosa silver. So tiny and perfect little blooms. Smell faintly of honeysuckle mixed with a bit of urine.
