Does anyone have tips on hoya props? I’ve had these cuttings (from my grandmother’s 30 year old plants) in a prop bag for a few months and they have some roots growing, so I’d like to pot them. However I’m worried they won’t survive moving to a lower humidity environment. I saw several videos on youtube of using the bag trick but they never went over actually moving them into pots 😅
Pot it, and then put it back into the bag. I usually wait until i see new growth before removing bags from my props. . Also, if you like starting them like this in soil in a bag, just pot them and put it in the bag. I removes the transplant process and the shock it’s gonna go through. It also removes a step you have to do in the future. You can still open it for air flow and mist the soil as you see fit.

I have started a few just buy putting them in soil and they have done well. This one I did last year it had 3 leaves and now there is 2 big leaves and 3 tiny ones coming on.
I started this one about a month ago and it has already rooted
Good luck. The first one came off a plant my 80 year old friend gave me and her plant was 40 + years old

Carefully place at least half of the rooted stem into the soil without damaging the new roots. I dust the roots with rooting hormone powder before planting. I use a chunky mix potting soil with no peat moss which holds too much moisture. Use a small diameter pot under 4” to prevent root rot from too much soil and water on the roots. Water and fertilize. I also ad SuperThrive plant vitamins. 🪴🍀
