Anybody have advice for how to get Hoyas to grow? I’ve had one for two years and the other for a year and neither have put out too much new growth since getting them. They are both in a chunky bark potting mix and get fertilized with orchid fertilizer every month (heard it helps them bloom? Idk if that’s true though). They are also in a cabinet with 12 hr grow lights, 60-80% humidity and 70-80 degrees. Are they just slow growers? Don’t have that much experience with Hoyas. The latest growth on the crimson queen is all white so not sure whether to cut it off?

It seems you have a great setup to make the hoyas happy. My only comment is let the soil completely dry out. Both plants have yellowing leaves which cold be overwatering.

How much light are they getting from the growlights? Depending on the strength of the growlight and how far you have the plants from it makes a big difference. This might not be true for all Hoya, but my crimson queen and princess get new growth with 500 foot candles and some of my other Hoya are getting over 1000 foot candles and growing like crazy. I recommend investing in a light meter, it’s a game changer.

Also, I have some totally happy vines with all white leaves that have been there forever. In my experience they do not need to be cut. The vine in my picture here I love so much. The growth on one side has traditional green/white leaves and the other side of the leaf set is white. 🤷🏻‍♀️ the one set even has 3 white leaves to one green/white. 😋
