I finally got a variegated compacta 🥹 My plant shop had them at 50% off and I couldn’t not get it. I know it’s going to take forever to grow but hoya growth is so rewarding!

    What a cutie! Mine is cuttings from a massive one at a local nursery. It doesn’t seem like she’s grown at all yet! 😅😂

      Ugh yeah, I have a regular green compacta that has only given me 3 new leaves in a year! These hoyas are truly a lesson in patience!

      what substrate do you have your hoya growing in? i have a variegated compacta in leca that’s doing so much better than my green one in soil… wondering if that’s the issue

      I’ve kept it in whatever the nursery put it in, figuring they know how what they’re doing. Lol. It seems to be fast-draining when I water it and is chunky.

      I’ve got one I’ve had for 3-4 years(?) and it’s in way too deep a ceramic pot with a cactus mix soil and it does great. I’m having to wrap the vines around the pot. I need to figure out where to cut it to propagate more!
