    That looks like a Peperomia, not a Hoya.

      Thank you for the help! Planta told me it was a Hoya, and I was skeptical. 😅

      I think it’s because it is leggy and trailing. If you want the plant to be more compact, you can cut it back and propagate the cuttings.

    BTW, I always cross reference plants that I struggle identifying. I use iNaturalist to clarify a lot of plants.

      Very helpful, thanks. A neighbor was giving it for free so I just grabbed it – I’ll make sure to trim it and give it some love!

    People often let these get too tall because they look so cool growing straight up, but they'll branch just fine if you nip the growing tip with clean scissors and be a little fuller/sturdier that way.
