Could be a variety of things. It looks like it could be sunburn. But it also could be mite damage (you can only see them with a microscope or strong jeweler’s loupe). How long have you had this little guy? The soil looks a little dense/not chunky enough and the pot could be a tad large. So it could be holding too much moisture.
0 J'aimeI’ve had him for a few months now. I just repotted with some top notch soil and there is drainage in the pot
1 j'aimeI don’t think it’s sunburn as that spot does not get direct light. I’m starting to think more damage. I’ll have to keep watching to find out

If it’s mite damage, it will slowly get worse and could infect other plants. Amazon has inexpensive digital microscopes that can help diagnose what type of mite, if that’s what’s going on here. Look online for flat mite and broad mite pictures to help identify which it is. Horticultural Oil or sulphur treatment will eradicate the problem, but do some research to see what would work best.
2 J'aimeHmmm should I isolate him in the mean time? The plants around him are thriving and have been thriving this entire time. Do you think it might have been from not watering enough?

It’s not a bad idea to isolate it as the mites can spread to other plants, especially Hoyas. If you notice the growth on the other plants has seemed to stop, then the mites may have spread. As for the watering, that could be a factor since underwatering can stress the plant and make it susceptible to secondary problems.
