This is my new Hoya pubicalyx, Nami! I just got her last week. I put her in a window that gets some indirect and some direct light, and I have a small humidifier for it too. I haven’t watered it since getting it because the leaves are still looking good. However it dropped a baby leaf on its runner today! I’m not sure if it’s just adjusting to the space or if I’m doing something wrong?
For watering I follow the taco test I learned from YouTube… pinch a leaf on the sides, if it’s firm don’t water, and if it gives and looks like a taco water!

0개 좋아요The taco test is out dated. It damages leaves. Get a meter to check the moisture in the soil. They are simple. You just stick in the soil and read the front of the tab.

Dropping the baby leaf could be adjusting to a new place since you’ve only had it a week. As to watering, how dry is the soil? I usually water once the soil is dry to the bottom. I also know some Hoya like more water than you would expect; I don’t know much about this type of Hoya, but I would check and make sure it’s not a thirsty one.

좋아요 1개My pubicalyx drops new leaves whenever I move it to a new location, so I would just watch and not worry about it yet! Give it at least a month to adjust. If it goes downhill, you can always propagate it.
