      Are there any peduncles formed yet? You may need to increase light or modify the watering to simulate stress for flowering.

      I think there’s one, very close to the base of the plant. I’ve never had a flowering Hoya so I’m not too sure on what to look for!

    Some Hoya also will abort flowers if the light changes, as in if the plant is rotated or the light source moved

      Haven’t moved her for a couple months! Had to when I was moving desks at work, and she’s been under the same light

    from what i have learned from endless scrolling anything about plants, hoyas are slow growers and prefer to be extremely comfortable before flowering. they prefer to be root bound when flowering, so they focus the energy towards the flowers and not the root system. it can sometimes take a couple years depending on how old or mature the plant is but that doesn’t mean it hasn’t been around since before you had it. i just put blooming fertilizer about once a month in mine and keeping it comfy in the spot it prefers and grows the best in. the little changes in maturity are what’s making me feel like i’m doing something right!! haha happy planting!!!!

    My mathidle has been with me for about a year and a half. Last year it put out a TON of peduncles but none of them bloomed. This year they are all active. I fertilize with every single watering and let it dry out almost completely. I also provide tons of light.

    No Hoyas don’t need to be root bound. They do like to feel the surrounding edges of the pot. That’s not rootbound. No Hoya ever said “ Keep me rootbound. I like being scrunched in the little pot. “
