Recently got this Heuschkelania Inner Variegated. She said she had wrapped the long stem inside for transport. It seems the whole stem is pushing out roots. Maybe it was wrapped in the pot for some time? Should I try to pack it back in?

    Hoyas can develop roots on their own from stems quite easily. It has to do with them being epiphytic and naturally growing on trees. You could either tuck it back into the pot and use a paper clip to pin them down into the soil so it’ll root more into the soil, or snip the branch with roots and lay it on top of the soil to let it root in the same way. Either way, it’s nothing to worry about, and a good sign of health. Hope this helps 😊

    You don’t have to do anything. Aerial roots form normally on hoyas especially if the humidity levels are high around them. They will dry up if the humidity levels drop. 🪴🍀
