What is the best way to convert the sphagnum moss medium into my regular? Which is: orchid mix, fir bark, seedling mix, sphagnum moss, chunky perlite. Pros & cons of doing this?

    Do you mean acclimate the plant? Or reuse the current moss into the mix?

      I guess I meant acclimate, there’s no way to get the moss off the roots. I went ahead and added my other mix to it, I guess we’ll see how it goes. Fingers crossed!🤞🏻

    It’s probably fine to transfer right away. But if you’re very worried you could transfer it to perlite first and grow it in there for a little bit

    I buy several rooted cuttings that arrive in moss. I carefully pick off as much of it as I can without damaging roots with 6” long rubber tipped tweezers. 🪴🍀

    Moss removes more easily when soaked so it’s super soggy. Any little wads left will rot the roots it surrounds
