Hey, Im looking for some advice on what to do with my hoya Cuttings in water now that they've grown enough roots to be transferred to soil. Do I pot them up into individual small pots or would it be ok if I was to plant them back into the pot with the mother plant. I've attached pic of the 2 Cuttings in water & a pic of the mother plant. Any help/advice would be appreciated, thanks

2 Mi piaceI usually put all my props together, let them establish in soil and then add them to my mature plant. But as Mya said, you don’t have to do this step. My Hoya’s thrive on neglect, and I find my newer props don’t handle that as well.

You can put them in with the mother plant. Try to not damage the roots too much of the mother plant. I recommend removing the decor from the soil. Decorative objects and stones can block or slow the evaporation of moisture from the soil leading to root rot. Cacti can handle stones on top of their soil mix since the soil is dry most of the time. 🪴🍀
2 Mi piaceMy worry is that because the cuttings have come from water, wont they need to stay moister for longer then the mother plant so it can grow soil roots. The ornament I've got sitting on it is a 3D printed ornament, so it weighs less then an empty 600ml water bottle, It is so light. I didnt like the magpies keep coming down to snap the leaves off so that's been put there to deter them & it seems to be doing its job.
2 Mi piaceThat’s the general thought, but honestly, I have an experienced it. I go for directly from water into my chunky potting mix.
