Building my Hoya collection. Bought several babies that came in leca and tff. With no drainage it makes me nervous. Looking for tips. My plan is to watch for new growth and then move to my chunky mix in a clear nursery pot with drainage but I’m really hoping not to lose any in the process.

Take any that are in a pot with no drainage and repot to the nursery pot now of the same size. It’s way too easy to overwater and kill with root rot. These plants especially need good drainage.

Would you recommend using the tff with my chunky mix?

What’s tff? I’ve never heard of that acronym. The best mix for Hoyas in my experience is orchid bark, soil, and perlite in equal parts.

Tree fern fiber is what it was sent to me in. I’m just worried to disturb it too much. But the no drainage does worry me

Like I said, if it has no drainage repot now. It’s far worse to leave it in a pot with no drainage than to disturb it. If you aren’t familiar with the tff substrate then just use the mix u are familiar with.

Those are plastic cups that they came in? Make drainage holes yourself.
