Hello everyone! I’ve had this Oleander for a couple of months now, bought the plant this same size, and just a couple of flowers. I have her in my front porch and I water it at the schedule recommended by planta, yet I can’t keep to keep her alive. I can’t tell if it’s lack of water or overwatering. Any advice?

Oh noooo!! It looks like you forgot to water her. Hoyas need more water than alot of people thing. Especially depending on how thin or thick the leaves are. Can you find any green left to propagate? The crispy leaves won't come back no matter how much you water. I'm so sorry 😞

There are no green leaves. Does that mean it’s dead? :( Planta says to water her every 5 days which is what I’ve been doing.

Check the roots for life, not dried out. Cut a branch starting at the tips to see if there is life and not completely dead. Trim the dead parts if there is life especially in the roots. I’ve seen oleanders put out new growth after the branches have died. Water when the soil dries down a couple of inches and not using a schedule. Schedules don’t know your environment. Plants use more water in hot dry climates or when it’s windy. Strictly following a schedule can quickly kill a plant. Good luck.🍀 🪴

Sounds like the roots rotted out from too much water then :(

Let me add that oleanders are very toxic to both pets and humans. Wear gloves when handling them. All parts of it are toxic. The sap is concentrated with poisons that can soak into skin. The poison affects your heart. Burning it can put out toxic smoke. Dispose of every piece carefully. Keep away from pets. I’ve had 20 year old oleanders removed from my yard once I got dogs. The puppies repeatedly tried to eat the leaves.

It says that it thrives in a hardiness zone 8-10, I don’t know how hot or cold it is where you are, but could be a temperature thing
