hi, y’all! 👋🏼 i may be overthinking this but i just so happened to notice my krohniana was feeling a bit soft in almost all her leaves 🧐 she’s due for a water in a few days so i was thinking that might be it but i noticed her soil was still a bit moist (not wet). she’s in molly’s aroid mix, drainage hole, i water her about every 2 weeks when soil is mostly dry, she’s under a grow light, no sign of pests. i decided to give her fresh soil cuz i’m paranoid. her roots were mostly fine, not black or mushy, but there were some roots that pulled off & were kind of dry. any idea what the deal is? i haven’t watered her new soil yet, should i? i dont want to overwater her but i don’t want to underwater her! 😰

Tug at all the roots. If they pull off, cut them back beyond the healthy parts. Plant in well draining substrate with multiple drainage holes. Water when almost dry. Alternatively, or in the future if she doesn’t perk up, make cuttings of her. I did this to my Krohniana and put it in a take out container in coco chips. Best thing ever 😊 Hope this helps.

This is what it looked like a year ago. It’s still there but more than double in size. I keep the lid on loosely.

      So like a mini greenhouse?

Yes. I just laid them down and buried the bottom nodes well. I could have potted them up a long time ago but I like them like this 😊 they get super splashy in there too!
