Does anyone grow Hoya Lacunosa’s under Barrina lights? I have a difficult time figuring out the distance that each plant should be from them, I find that plants will burn easily if they are too close but also rot if too far away. Please leave your tips even if you grow them under different light conditions!

I grow several H. lacunosa. Some under lights, some on a porch and one grows in a box. They can be 2 to 3 feet from the lights. Just play with the distance but adjust waterings to only when they are 50-75 percent dry. If you experience rot when far from light, it can be because of overwatering. More light more water, less light less water.

Thanks for the tips! It’s definitely not overwatering, it’s in a very chunky mix and I use clear pots so I can monitor root health (this being said they don’t dry out all the way). I think that 2.5 feet must’ve been too far away because growth stopped too. I may just plan to try a different grow light! 😊 it’s helpful to know that these aren’t a very high light Hoya

Ya definitely doesn’t sound like you are overwatering. I use both barrina t8 and t5. The t8 seem hotter and stronger than the t5. I also use Sansi and haus bright… am I a jack of all lamps lol
