My Hoya Danumensis has opened her blooms. This is the biggest flowers Iâve seen on a hoya! They are about 1 inch wide when fully opened. The flowers are waxy and look like pleated lampshades. The scent is supposed to be like lemon grass or citronella. My sinus allergies are blocking me from smelling it right now. The flowers typically last 7 days. Hopefully, I can smell them in a few days. đđž

1 gilla An entire set blooms from most of my hoyas like the Hoya Lacunosa and Hoya Heuschkeliana can fit inside. I highly recommend getting one of these. I got mine from Plantstay. This variety is a bit more expensive than the popular and readily available hoyas. But, itâs low maintenance even with its thin leaves.

1 gilla Thank you. Get this one for big flowers, big thin leaves and easy care. Itâs outside on the kitchen windowsill facing northeast to get direct sunlight with afternoon shade. Iâve had 20+ hoyas bloom after moving them into direct morning sunlight. Donât let them stay completely dry too many days once the peduncles appear. Many hoyas produce a lot of nectar and need water as soon as the soil mix dries out. Fertilizer is essential while they flower. Donât skip the fertilizer schedule during the growing season. đȘŽđ
