My Hoya Danumensis has opened her blooms. This is the biggest flowers I’ve seen on a hoya! They are about 1 inch wide when fully opened. The flowers are waxy and look like pleated lampshades. The scent is supposed to be like lemon grass or citronella. My sinus allergies are blocking me from smelling it right now. The flowers typically last 7 days. Hopefully, I can smell them in a few days. 😍🌸

좋아요 1개 An entire set blooms from most of my hoyas like the Hoya Lacunosa and Hoya Heuschkeliana can fit inside. I highly recommend getting one of these. I got mine from Plantstay. This variety is a bit more expensive than the popular and readily available hoyas. But, it’s low maintenance even with its thin leaves.

좋아요 1개 I have many hoyas and this is one of my new favorite. It has fully opened all blooms last night and started dripping nectar. Light with a sweet leafy green scent. 😍

좋아요 1개 Thank you. Get this one for big flowers, big thin leaves and easy care. It’s outside on the kitchen windowsill facing northeast to get direct sunlight with afternoon shade. I’ve had 20+ hoyas bloom after moving them into direct morning sunlight. Don’t let them stay completely dry too many days once the peduncles appear. Many hoyas produce a lot of nectar and need water as soon as the soil mix dries out. Fertilizer is essential while they flower. Don’t skip the fertilizer schedule during the growing season. 🪴🍀
