1 j'aimeThese are typically slow growers! Amazing you have had so much growth! It must be loving its environment so much 😄
3 J'aimethat’s why i’ve been so scared to cut it, i never expected this much growth - when i got it it had 3 leaves! its slowed down now so i think its finally time haha
2 J'aimeWhat’s your secret?
2 J'aimei honestly don’t know, i’ve gone through big moves 3 times since i got it so maybe it likes change 😅
1 j'aimeYou can cut it and plant the cutting back in the same pot to make it fuller.
4 J'aimedo you plant the cuttings straight in the pot after cutting, or let them grow roots in water first?
1 j'aimeTbh, I am not really sure which method is better with Hoyas. A quick Google search showed a variety of things, but several sites and people did mention water propagation is not always successful. I saw a lot mention pure sphagnum or maybe the perlite method. I wonder if the Fluval/perlite mix might be the best method? Maybe someone on here with more experience can chime in?
1 j'aimeI dip the cuttings in rooting hormone and then plant it right into the pot with the mother plant. Has been fairly successful.
2 J'aimeMany times I loop a branch back around where I can put something on top of it to hold it down on the medium and it will root.
2 J'aimeThat’s a good idea too. Then once it roots you can either cut the loop or leave it.
2 J'aimeThis looks like the perfect candidate for a trellis loop! I love them for my Hoya. Sometimes I do one, sometimes I do two. Your Kerii looks VERY happy 💕
1 j'aimeThey’re pretty affordable on Amazon, forgot to add that
1 j'aimeso cute!! i’ve been trying to decide what to do with him since he’s too lopsided in the pot, that’s a good idea!
