I liked this little Hoya Pachyclada so much that I ordered a full size albo white margin variety from Etsy on sale. It was shipped 2 weeks ago from Florida to Texas. But the post office sent it to Alaska! Alaska! My lovely plant is in a dark box in cold Alaska! I’m not crying!😭 I will add that this rarely happens to me. It’s my first lost plant sent via the post office. I just wish it was a bag of potting mix they sent to Alaska and not my plant!😭

Oh no! Oh dear. It’s only happened to me once, but I felt sad for my cuttings and for the seller. It was sent in 2 pkgs. one showed up 5wks later.

I know the feeling. The seller has been great about everything thing. USPS will pay the damages. Etsy will refund my costs. I would rather have the plant.

Ok just to try and be positive I can tell you it’s actually not that cold in Alaska. Like it’s not freezing. It’s in the 50’s. Not great Hoya weather but…..not too awful. I just got back from there not long ago. Hopefully it’s kept in a warm post office and in heated cargo areas. From my experience Hoyas travel pretty well and can take some shipping abuse. Sending warm thoughts to your plants and you!! I hope it turns out ok.

Thanks for the reassurance. But, the plant has been in Alaska over 2 weeks. I believe the post office can tell it’s from a nursery and contains a plant. So, they are not shipping it back. It’s a waste of cargo space to ship a dead plant from Alaska to Texas. The seller already filed a claim with the post office.
