It seems like my Sunrise cutting is trying to give me two peduncles. These would be my first peduncles if I'm seeing this right. Is it time for me to get excited?

    If so, how long does it take for Sunrise to go from this stage to seeing flowers?

      I haven’t flowered mine yet so I’m not sure. But yes, they look like peduncles.

    Very cool. That cutting could have been taken from a plant that blooms heavily. I have a Hoya Inflata lightly rooted cutting that produced a peduncle the week it arrived. The cutting came as a four leaf twig. 😁

      I agree. These blooms were the size of small grapes! They were eaten two days after this photo was taken! I’m assuming a bat or some other night creature ate them thinking they were food.😂

      Haha. Well, if they're going to disappear I'm glad they fed wildlife.

    I don't remember how long it took my sunrise to bloom after forming a peduncle... It was definitely weeks rather than days though so patience will be your friend

      I should add too, once mine started it hasn't stopped blooming. It forms new blooms every couple weeks (this has been going on since at least June, probably earlier.)

      Patience (for plants, animals, and children) is something I have plenty of. And I love watching the way plants change as they grow. Thanks for letting me know that yours has kept blooming since it started. That's exciting and something fun to look forward to.
